PoLicY IssvE(s): Easement procurement BACKGROUND: These three easements range in width from 15 feet to 27 1/2 feet and are for an existing 15-inch sewer main that the City is in the process of replacing. The lines have been in place for years with no easement. The easements will allow for the new line to be placed within the same easement as the existing line. The existing line is made of clay tile and is broken in many places. The first phase will replace approximately 1,200-feet of sewer main. This sewer line has been bumped up to the first priority on the Capital Improvement list for sewer lines. The easement work was done by Chalaire Surveying, Inc. for $2,000.00, the future sewer line replacements will also use these proposed easements.
