CITY COUNCIL AGENDA Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Paris shall meet in regular session on Monday, September 8, 2008, at 5:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at the City Council Chamber, 107 E. Kaufman Street, in Paris, Texas. The matters to be discussed and acted upon are as follows: Work Session 5:00 p.m. The Council will conduct a work session to discuss items on the Regular Agenda. No action will be taken during the work session. Regular Meeting 6:00 p.m. Opening Agenda l. Call meeting to order. 2. Invocation. 3. Pledge of Allegiance. 4. Citizens' forum. (Persons desiring to address the Council must limit their presentation to no more than two minutes. The Texas Open Meetings Act prohibits the Council from responding to any comments other than to refer the matter to a future agenda, to an existing policy, or to a staff person with specific factual information. Claims against the City, Council Members, or employees, as well as individual personnel appeals are not appropriate for citizens' forum.) Consent Agenda Items on the Consent Agenda are approved by a single action of the Council, with such approval applicable to all items appearing on the Consent Agenda. A Council Member may request any item to be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered as a separate item. 5. Deliberate and act on the approval of minutes from the meetings on August 25, 2008; August 28, 2008; and September 2, 2008. 6. Receive and deliberate on reports and/or minutes from the following boards, commissions, and committees: a. Task Force on Code Enforcement (8-19-08) 7. Deliberate and act on a resolution approving and authorizing the execution of a contract between the City of Paris and the Department of State Health Services for on-line computer services relating to certification of vital statistics services, and authorizing the City 1Vlanager to negotiate and execute all necessary documents. 8. Deliberate and acceptance of the August financial report. 9. Deliberate and act on ballot for Texas Municipal League Intergovernmental Risk Pool of Trustees election.
