9. Report from City Clerk on a disannexation petition received <br />September 15, 2008. <br />lO.First reading: Deliberate and possibly act on an ordinance <br />disannexing 675.13 acres, of land forming a portion of the current <br />outer boundaries of the city limits of the City of Paris, located on <br />state highway 271 south, beginning three-quarters (3/4) mile <br />southeast of Loop 286 SE along the north right-of-way line of Hwy <br />271 south to a point southeast of the Meadowbrook Cemetery, in <br />response to a petition for such disannexation filed by 17 property <br />owners involving 25 tracts of land. <br />11. Convene in Executive Session on the following matters: <br />a. Pursuant to Section 551.071 of the Texas Government Code, <br />Consultation with Attorney, to receive legal advice of legal <br />counsel pursuant to the duty of an attorney to his client under <br />the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the <br />State Bar of Texas, and litigation exception under the Texas <br />Open Meetings Act to receive Attorney advice regarding <br />collection of delinquent taxes. <br />b. Pursuant to Section 551.087 of the Texas Government Code, to <br />discuss and deliberate an offer of financial or other incentive to <br />a business prospect to locate, stay, or expand in Paris and <br />consider any commercial and financial information related to <br />the business prospect. <br />c. Pursuant to Section 551.074 of the Texas Government Code, to <br />deliberate on the appointment of a replacement for council <br />member seat district seven. <br />12.Reconvene in Open Session to take possible action regarding those <br />matters discussed in Executive Session. <br />a.
