REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF PARIS <br />September 22, 2008 <br />The City Council of the City of Paris met for a regular session at 5:00 P. M. Monday, <br />September 22, 2008, at the City Council Chamber, 107 E. Kaufman, Paris, Texas. <br />Present: Mayor: Jesse James Freelen <br />Council Members: Joe McCarthy; Kevin Kear; Stephen Brown; <br />Will Biard; Edwin Pickle; and Bill Strathern <br />City Staff: Kent McIlyar, City Attorney; Janice Ellis, City <br />Clerk; Gene Anderson, Finance Director; <br />Shawn Napier, City Engineer; Doug Harris, <br />Director of Utilities; Priscilla McAnally, <br />Library Director; Karl Louis, Police Chief; and <br />Ronnie Grooms, Fire Chief <br />Work Session 5:00 p.m. <br />Mayor Freelen called the work session to order at 5:06 p.m. and moved the work session to <br />the City Council conference room. Council discussed items 5, 6, 13 and 16. <br />No action was taken during the work session. <br />Opening Agenda <br />1. Call meeting to order. <br />Mayor Freelen called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. <br />2. Invocation. <br />Bob Bush gave the invocation. <br />3. Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Council Member Biard led the pledge. <br />4. Citizens' forum. <br />David Nabors, 1822 E. Polk - he request that all city council meetings continue to be taped. <br />Patsy Davis, 3535 Audubon - she asked that City Council include in their budget $5,000.00 <br />for funding for the Historical Society Museum. <br />« 000013 <br />
