Deliberate and act on a public education program for the November election concerning <br />senior and disabled tax freeze. <br />Mayor Freelen asked Council their preference regarding this item. Council Member Pickle <br />expressed concern about the City Council being involved in public education on this item. It was a <br />consensus of Council to not initiate any type of public education. <br />8. Public hearing on the 2009-2010 ORCA CDBG Grant Application. <br />Mayor Freelen opened the public hearing and asked anyone wishing to speak, to please come <br />forward. With no one speaking, Mayor Freelen closed the public hearing. <br />Shawn Napier said this was a competitive grant for funding under the Community <br />Development Fund. He also said the proposed $250,000 application would be for the replacement <br />of sewer system improvements. <br />9. Deliberate on possible future items. <br />Council Member Brown asked for discussion on bonus options for city employees and non <br />taping of budget meetings. <br />10. Adj ournment. <br />There being no further business, a Motion to adjourn was made by Council Member Brown <br />and seconded by Council Member McCarthy. Motion carried, 6 ayes - 0 nays.
