REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF PARIS <br />October 13, 2008 <br />The City Council of the City of Paris met for a regular session at 5:00 P. M. Monday, October <br />13, 2008, at the City Council Chamber, 107 E. Kaufman, Paris, Texas. <br />Present: Mayor: Jesse James Freelen <br />Council Members: Joe McCarthy; Kevin Kear; Stephen Brown; <br />and Edwin Pickle <br />City Staff: Kent McIlyar, City Attorney; Janice Ellis, City <br />Clerk; Gene Anderson, Finance Director; <br />Shawn Napier, City Engineer; Doug Harris, <br />Director of Utilities; Lisa Wright, Community <br />Development Director; Karl Louis, Police <br />Chief; and Ronnie Grooms, Fire Chief <br />Absent: Council Member: Will Biard <br />Work Session 5:00 p.m. <br />Mayor Freelen called the work session to order at 5:00 p.m. and moved the work session to <br />the City Council conference room. Council discussed Consent Agenda items. <br />No action was taken during the work session. <br />Opening Agenda <br />Call meeting to order. <br />Mayor Freelen called the meeting to order at 6:04 p.m. <br />2. Invocation. <br />Reverend John Kelley gave the invocation. <br />3. Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Council Member Kear led the pledge. <br />4. Citizens' forum. <br />Marilyn Bellevance, 262-26th N.E. - she expressed concern about the lack of code <br />enforcement in her neighborhood. <br />- 000004 <br />
