MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />BUILDING AND STANDARDS COMMISSION <br />MONDAY, JUNE 16. 2008 <br />4:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />1. Lucius Joe Jr., Vice Chairman, called the Building and Standards Commission meeting to <br />order at 4:00 P.M. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Chris Brown <br />Vicki Ballard <br />Lucius Joe Jr. <br />Bill Harris, Alternate <br />Zachary Saffle, Alternate <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />Ryan Lassiter <br />David Nabors <br />Harrell Tippitt <br />Mary Crumpler <br />Scott Scholz, Alternate <br />2. Approval of Minutes of previous meeting: <br />Motion was made and seconded to approve the meeting minutes far Apri121, 2008. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />4. Public Hearing to consider presentations by City of Paris Code Inspectors and owner(s) <br />and/or lien holder(s) of the below properties who have been given notice of a violation <br />of Article III of Chapter 7 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, <br />entitled "Substandard and Dangerous Buildings and Structures°: <br />A. 40 31 st Street N. W.; Lots 3& 4, Block 2, Mayer Addition - Motion was made by <br />Chris Brown, seconded by Zach Saffle to allow 30 days to demolish. If the property <br />is not demolished in 30 days, the City may demolish, with a$1,000 per day civil <br />penalty. Motion carried unanimously. <br />B. 3044 Bonham Street; Lot 25, Block 2, Mayer Addition - Motion was made by Bill <br />Harris, seconded by Zach Saffle to allow 30 days to demolish. If the property is not <br />demolished in 30 days, the City may demolish, with a$1,000 per day civil penalty. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />C. 1630 W. Campbell Street; Lot 3, Block 5, Maxey Addition - Motion was made by <br />Bill Harris, seconded by Chris Brown to allow 90 days to repair or demolish. If the <br />property is not repaired or demolished in 90 days, the City may demolish, with a <br />" 000024 <br />
