A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING A1VD AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PARIS AND HAYTER ENGINEERING, INC. TO PROVIDE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE BELMONT WATER LINE REPLACEMENT PROJECT; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of Paris is a participant in the Texas Community Development (TCDP) Small Towns Environment Program (STEP) Fund Grant for water and sewer line replacement; and, WHEREAS, the City of Paris is in need of engineering services under the aforesaid TCDP Block Grant for the Belmont Waterline Replacement Project which will include replacement of dilapidated lines in an area between Tudor and Grove streets and 11th and 17th streets in northeast Paris; and, WHEREAS, the City of Paris has received a proposal for such services from Hayter Engineering, Inc. in the form attached hereto as Exhibit A; and, WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Paris that the City enter into a professional engineering services agreement with Hayter Engineering, Inc. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That a Professional Services Agreement by and between the City of Paris and Hayter Engineering, Inc. for preparation of plans and specifications for the Belmont Waterline Replacement Project in a form substantially similar to the form attached hereto as Exhibit "A," shall be and is hereby in all things approved, and the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute and the City Clerk to attest to said agreement.
