ORDINANCE NO. 2001-052 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, ABANDONING THE CITY'S INTEREST IN THE FIFTEEN (15) FOOT ALLEY BEGINNING AT 17TH STREET N,W. WEST TO THE EAST BOUNDARY LINE OF CITY BLOCK 200 BETWEEN BONHAM STREET AND MAPLE A VENUE; DECLARING NO NECESSITY OR NEED OF SAID ALLEY FOR CITY USE; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the City Council of the City of Paris by petition of the adjacent property owners that a fifteen (15) foot alley beginning at 17th Street N . W. west to the east boundary line of City Block 200 between Bonham Street and Maple Avenue is of no use as an alley to the City of Paris or to its citizens, and the City Council so finds; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this ordinance are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That the fifteen (15) foot alley beginning at 17th Street N.W. west to the east boundary line of City Block 200 between Bonham Street and Maple A venue, described in Exhibit A, attached hereto, is found to be of no use as an alley to the City of Paris or its citizens; therefore, the City's interest in such alley is hereby abandoned. Section 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. Section 4, That this ordinance shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
