ORDINANCE NO. 2001-003 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PARIS BE AMENDED BY REVISING THE TRAFFIC PARKING MAP ADOPTED IN PARAGRAPH (b) OF SECTION 31-65 OF SAID CODE; REMOVING A DESIGNATION FOR A HANDICAPPED PARKING ZONE; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF MARCH 1, 2001. WHEREAS, the City of Paris Traffic Commission is charged with the responsibility to study and evaluate designated parking zones for use on City streets and roadways; and, WHEREAS, the Traffic Commission, at its regular meeting of February 6,2001, considered and evaluated various suggestions and requests for the designation or removal of designation of certain parking zones at various locations throughout the city, and, having done so, found and determined that the designation or removal of designation of certain parking zones at certain locations and on certain streets and roadways in the city is necessary to protect the health and safety and is in the best interests of the citizens of the city of Paris, and have so recommended such designation or removal of designation to the City Council of the City of Paris; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this ordinance are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That the Traffic Parking Map adopted in Paragraph (b) of Section 31-65 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same is hereby, amended to remove a Handicapped Parking Zone as follows: "On the west end of the 100 block of Clarksville Street on the south side of the street." Section 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. Section 4. That this ordinance shall become effective on March 1,2001.
