The expense of such improvement shall be borne in <br />the following proportion: The Paris Railway Company shall <br />pay the cost of improving all that part of the street between said <br />points, used and occupied by it for the purpose of operating its <br />railroad, and the Texas and Pacific railway company shall pay the <br />cost of improving all that part of said street used and occupied by <br />it for its railroad, and each owner of real estate fronting or abut- <br />ting on said street between said points required to be improved, <br />shall pay two-thirds of the cost of improving the street in propor- <br />tion to the number of front feet in the lot, or lots owned by them, <br />and fronting or abutting on said street, between said points, after <br />deducting the cost to be paid by the Paris Railway company and <br />the cost of the intersections of cross streets and the city of Paris <br />shall pay the remaining one-third and the cost of intersections. <br />SEC. 3. That the cost to be paid by each property owner and <br />the railway companies shall be estimated, assessed and collected <br />as is now or as may hereafter be provided by ordinance, and in the <br />proportion provided for by the city charter, and the cost assessed <br />against each property owner and railway company shall be a lien <br />and incumbrance upon the property against which it is assessed. <br />SEC. 4. That bids be advertised for ten days in the Paris <br />Daily News for said improvements and the contract be let in ac- <br />cordance with the provisions of the city charter in such cases made <br />and provided. <br />SEC. 5.
