<br />AUTOMOBILE THEFT PREVENTION AUTHORITY <br />SCHEDULED D (Continued) <br /> <br />REQUIRED NARRATIVE: Briefly describe the use of the equipment and the cost <br />of each line item. <br /> <br />A. The two pickups will be used for the daily investigations of auto thefts and auto <br />theft related cases in our seven county coverage areas. Each pickup will cost <br />approximately $26,000.00. The dealers expect a cost increase for the 2002-year <br />models arriving in June, 2002. <br /> <br />B. The funds requested for supplies will be used for pens, shirts, banners, etc. for <br />public presentations. We have not had personalized supplies before. The pens will <br />cost from twenty-eight to forty cents each. The shirts are $25.00 each. A large <br />display banner is $150.00. The company that made our VIN etching equipment is <br />out of business. I would like to order new equipment at a cost approximately <br />$1000.00. All supplies will be used to promote the prevention of auto theft and <br />ATPA. <br /> <br />C. The Kenwood Dual Band radio with a Pyramid repeater is $4000.00. It will be <br />used by the Task Force for daily communication with the law enforcement <br />agencies we assist. <br /> <br />D. The 7' x 14' Wells Cargo Van type display trailer will cost approximately <br />$12,000.00 finished. This will include logo signs, air conditioner, display panels, <br />television and vcr combo. The trailer will be the same as type as the RA TT trailer. <br />It will be used for Public Awareness programs in our coverage area and were <br />requested for assistance. <br />
