<br />STATE OF TEXAS ~ <br /> <br />KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: <br /> <br />COUNTY OF LAMAR ~ <br /> <br />ADDENDUM NUMBER ONE <br />PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT BETWEEN <br />THE C. T. BRANNON CORPORATION AND <br />THE CITY OF PARIS. PARIS. TEXAS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, by adoption of Resolution No. 2000-083 on June 12, 2000, the City Council <br />of the City of Paris, Texas, approved and accepted a proposal of the Brannon Corporation for <br />professional services for the development of a Lake Crook Master Plan and awarded a professional <br />services contract to said corporation for the purposes of development of a master plan for Lake <br />Crook; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, SECTION 1. B. of said professional services contract provided for completion <br />of the study and preparation of a report and recommendations by or before January 15, 2001, <br />conditioned upon and subject to an extension depending on the number and time of public hearings <br />scheduled to solicit public input as to the potential uses of said property; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Paris, designated as "Owner" in the original contract, and the C. T. <br />Brannon Corporation, designated as "Engineer" in the original contract, agree that the time frame <br />for completion of the study should be extended, dependent upon the number and time of subsequent <br />public hearings conducted by the City of Paris to solicit further input from the general public as to <br />the uses of said property; NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br />FOR AND IN CONSIDERATION OF THESE PREMISES, the City of Paris as Owner <br />and the C. T. Brannon Corporation as Engineer, agree as follows: <br /> <br />Section 1. That SECTION LB. of the original professional services contract between Owner <br />and Engineer as referenced herein, shall be and is hereby, amended to provide that Engineer shall <br />complete the Master Plan and present a final report to the City of Paris, as outlined in the original <br />agreement, no later than forty-five (45) days following the last public hearing conducted by the City <br />of Paris soliciting input from the general public as to the proposed uses of the Lake Crook property. <br /> <br />Section 2. That all other terms and provisions of the original agreement, not in conflict with <br />the terms and provisions of this agreement, shall remain in full force and effect. <br /> <br />Section 3. That this extension oftime to complete and present the final report shall not incur <br />additional cost to the City of Paris, subject to the standard engineering fee and other fees previously <br />agreed to in the original agreement. <br /> <br />Section 4. That this agreement shall become effective from and after its date of execution <br />by the parties hereto. <br /> <br />EXHIBIT A <br />
