<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2001-009 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS, ORDERING THE REGULAR MUNICIPAL ELECTION <br />FOR THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, TO BE HELD ON THE FIRST <br />SA TURDA Y IN MAY 2001, SAME BEING THE 5TH DAY OF MAY 2001, <br />BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 7:00 O'CLOCK A.M. AND 7:00 O'CLOCK <br />P.M., BY THE QUALIFIED VOTERS OF DISTRICTS 4, 5, AND 7 OF THE <br />CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, WITH EARLY VOTING FOR THE SAME <br />BEING CONDUCTED IN THE CITY HALL ANNEX WEST FROM THE <br />18TH DAY OF APRIL 2001, THROUGH THE 1ST DAY OF, MAY 2001, <br />MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY, BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 8:00 <br />O'CLOCK A.M. AND 5:00 O'CLOCK P.M., FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br />ELECTING THE COUNCIL MEMBERS FROM EACH OF SAID <br />DISTRICTS TO SERVE AS MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE <br />ENSUING TWO (2) YEARS; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />Section 1. That a regular municipal election for the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be held by <br />the qualified voters of Districts 4, 5, and 7 of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, on the first Saturday in <br />May 2001, same being the 5th day of May 2001, between the hours of 7:00 o'clock a.m. and 7:00 <br />o'clock p.m., for the purpose of electing three (3) members of the City Council of the City of Paris <br />for two year terms, as follows: <br /> <br />One Council Member from District Four (4) <br />One Council Member from District Five (5) <br />One Council Member from District Seven (7) <br /> <br />as provided in Paragraphs 2, 3, 5, 6, and 7 of Order entered March 15, 1976, in Civil Action No. P- <br />75-3-CA, in the District Court of the United States for the Eastern District of Texas, Paris Division, <br />and as provided in the Charter of the City of Paris and the laws of the State of Texas wherein they <br />do not conflict with said Order. <br /> <br />Section 2. That the polling places and election officials of such election shall be as follows: <br /> <br />District Four (4): <br /> <br />Polling Place: Aikin Elementary School <br />3100 Pine Mill Road <br /> <br />Officials: <br /> <br />James R. Hicks, Presiding Judge <br />Jessie Bolton, Alternate Presiding Judge <br />
