<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2001-023 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS, DESIGNATING THE HIGHEST AND BEST BIDDER FOR <br />THE LEASE OF HANGAR HAT COX FIELD AIRPORT; PROVIDING <br />THA TTHE HOLDER OF A RIGHT-OF-FIRST-REFUSALFOR THE LEASE <br />OF SAID HANGAR BE GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO MATCH THE <br />BEST AND HIGHEST BID; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND <br />PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING FOR AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 12th day of <br />February, 2001, in Resolution No. 2001-014, authorize the advertisement for bids for the lease of <br />Hangar H at the Cox Field Airport, which bids were received until 3:00 o'clock p.m, on Tuesday, <br />March 6, 2001; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, by contract, the City Council must determine and designate the best bid for <br />such lease and subsequently forward such bid to the holder of a right-of-first-refusal for the lease of <br />HangarH, same beingJ. B. Richey, in order that he maybe given the opportunity to match such bid; <br />and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, following a thirty (30) day period for exercise of the right-of-first-refusal, the <br />City Council will determine the party to whom the lease agreement should be awarded; NOW, <br />THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things <br />approved. <br /> <br />Section 2. That the bid of Jimmy Smyers of Paris, Texas, in the amount of $875.00 per <br />month, plus annual CPI adjustment, for a period of ten (10) years, be, and the same is hereby, <br />determined to be the highest and best bid for the lease of Hangar H. <br /> <br />Section 3. That the holder ofthe right-of-first-refusal for the lease of Hangar H, same being <br />J. B, Richey, be given the opportunity to match the bid within thirty (30) days. <br /> <br />Section 4. That following the expiration of said thirty (30) day period for exercise of the <br />right-of-first-refusal, the City Council shall determine to whom the lease should be awarded. <br /> <br />Section 5. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage. <br />
