ORDINANCE NO. 2008 -048
<br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS,
<br />AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
<br />TEXAS, AS HERETOFORE AMENDED, SO AS TO REZONE LOTS 13, 13 -A,
<br />13-B, 13-C AND 13 -D, CITY BLOCK 259 LOCATED IN THE 2800 BLOCK OF
<br />PINE MILL ROAD, CITY OF PARIS, LAMAR COUNTY, TEXAS, FROM A
<br />PLANNED DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT (PD -a1) COMMERCIAL CENTER/
<br />(PD -b) HOUSING DEVELOPMENT OR COMMUNITY UNIT DEVELOPMENT
<br />TO A PLANNED DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT (PD -a1) COMMERCIAL
<br />CENTER; PROVIDING A REPEALER CLAUSE, A SAVINGS CLAUSE, A
<br />SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, A PENALTY CLAUSE, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br />WHEREAS, the Planning & Zoning Commission received a request for an
<br />amendment to the zoning ordinance of the City of Paris to rezone LOTS 13, 13 -A, 13- 13,13 -C
<br />AND 13 -D, CITY BLOCK 259 LOCATED IN THE 2800 BLOCK OF PINE MILL ROAD, City of
<br />Paris, Lamar County, Texas from a PLANNED DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT (PD -a1)
<br />CC MMERCIAL CENTER /(PD -b) HOUSING DEVELOPMENT OR COMMUNITY UNIT
<br />DEVELOPMENT TO A PLANNED DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT (PD -a1) COMMERCIAL
<br />CENTER; and,
<br />WHEREAS, on December 1, 2008, the Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a
<br />public hearing on the proposed amendment to the City zoning ordinance and, following
<br />sa d hearing, made formal recommendation to the City Council to approve the requested
<br />zo ing; and,
<br />WHEREAS, on December 8, 2008, the City Council of the City of Paris conducted a
<br />public hearing on the proposed amendment to the City zoning ordinance, and having
<br />considered the recommendations of the Planning and Zoning Commission and the
<br />testimony and evidence introduced at said public hearing, found and determined that
<br />a proving the aforesaid zoning change would be consistent with the comprehensive plan of
<br />th City of Paris, consistent with the City zoning ordinance, and in the best interests and to
<br />th benefit of the public health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of the City of Paris;
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br />P RIS. TEXAS:
<br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this ordinance are hereby
<br />things approved.
<br />Section 2. That the Official Zoning Map of the City of Paris, Texas and Zoning
<br />01 dinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris as heretofore amended is hereby further amended
<br />to rezone LOTS 13, 13 -A, 13 -13, 13 -C, AND 13 -D, CITY BLOCK 259 LOCATED IN THE 2800
<br />BLOCK OF PINE MILL ROAD, City of Paris, Lamar County, Texas, from PLANNED
<br />D VELOPMENT DISTRICT (PD -a1) COMMERCIAL CENTER /(PD -b) HOUSING
<br />D VELOPMENT OR COMMUNITY UNIT DEVELOPMENT TO A PLANNED DEVELOPMENT
