RESOLUTION NO. 2008-105 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE ASSIGNMENT OF LEASE FROM EDWIN LANCASTER TO BERT STROM FOR PROPERTY AT COX FIELD AIRPORT; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDI111G AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 11th day of Ju y, 1994, in Resolution No. 94-084, authorize the execution of a Lease Agreement with W lliam T. Boothe for property at Cox Field Airport for a term of thirty-five (35) years, b inning August 1, 1994, and ending July 31, 2029; and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 8th day of Se tember, 1997, in Resolution No. 97-103, approve the assignment of said Lease from W lliam T. Boothe to Ken Barber; and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 9th day of M y, 2000, in Resolution No. 2000-063, approve the assignment of said Lease from Ken B rber to Edwin Lancaster; and, WHEREAS, Edwin Lancaster has expressed his desire to assign said Lease to Bert and Bert Strom has expressed his desire to accept such assignment; and, WHEREAS, the form of the Assignment of Lease from Edwin Lancaster to Bert St om, attached hereto as Exhibit A, should, in all things be approved, and the City Manager of the City of Paris should be authorized to acknowledge approval of said assignment by si ning the Acceptance of Assignment. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF P RIS. TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in ~11 things approved. Section 2. That the form of the Assignment of Lease from Edwin Lancaster to Bert St om, attached hereto as Exhibit A, for property at Cox Field Airport, be, and the same is he eby, approved. Section 3. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to Dwledge approval, on behalf of the City of Paris, of the Assignment of Lease from n Lancaster to Bert Strom by signing the same in the form shown in Exhibit A, hed hereto. Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
