<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2001-041 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 2001-009, SUBSTITUTING <br />THE DESIGNATED JUDGES FOR EARLY VOTING IN THE MAY 5, 2001, <br />GENERAL ELECTION; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS <br />RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, has previously adopted <br />Resolution No. 2001-009 ordering the regular municipal election for the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, <br />to be held on the first Saturday in May, 2001, the same being the 5th day of May, 2001, between the <br />hours of7:00 o'clock a.m. and 7:00 o'clock p.m.; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, as part of the aforesaid resolution, the City Council designated election judges <br />for early voting; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS. the City Council has, in accordance with state law, previously adopted an <br />ordinance declaring the unopposed candidate in Council District 5 as elected to office and rescinding <br />the election in District 5, thereby prompting the designation of different election judges for early <br />voting; NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things <br />approved <br /> <br />Section 2. That Section 5 of Resolution No. 2001-009, which ordered the regular municipal <br />election for the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, to be held on the first Saturday in May, 2001, the same <br />being May 5,2001, is hereby in all things amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"Section 5. That the polling place and election officials for early voting of <br />said election shall be as follows: <br /> <br />EARLY VOTING <br /> <br />Polling Place: City Hall Annex West <br />150 1 st Street S.E. <br /> <br />EARLY BALLOT BOARD: <br /> <br />Officials: <br /> <br />James R. Hicks, Presiding Judge <br />Jessie Bolton, Alternate Presiding Judge" <br />
