RESOLUTION NO. 2001-063 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, ACCEPTING THE DONATION OF ONE PORTABLE BUILDING FROM THE PARIS INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR USE BY THE PARIS POLICE DEPARTMENT; AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH THE PARIS INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR THE ACCEPTANCE OF SAID PORT ABLE BUILDING; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Paris Independent School District has declared as surplus one (I) portable building and has offered to donate the same to the Paris Police Department to be used to expand the Police Department facilities at 811 Bonham Street; and, WHEREAS, the generosity of the Paris Independent School District is appreciated, and it is deemed to be in the best interests of the citizens of Paris that such donation be accepted; and, WHEREAS, the form of the Interlocal Agreement with the Paris Independent School District for the acceptance by the City of Paris of said portable building, attached hereto as Exhibit A, should in all things be approved, and the Mayor should be authorized to execute the same; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That the donation by the Paris Independent School District of one (I) surplus portable building to be used to expand the Paris Police Department facilities at 811 Bonham Street be, and the same is hereby, accepted. Section 3. That the form of the Interlocal Agreement with the Paris Independent School District for the acceptance by the City of Paris of said portable building, attached hereto as Exhibit A, be, and the same is hereby, approved. Section 4. That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, the Interlocal Agreement, under the terms and conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit A attached hereto. Section 5. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
