-- ~ RESOLUTION NO. 2002-1B9 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A PURCHASE ORDER FOR FOUR (4) MODEL YEAR 2003 POLICE PACKAGE CHEVROLET IMPALAS FOR USE IN THE PATROL DIVISION OF THE PARIS POLICE DEPARTMENT AND TWO (2) MODEL YEAR 2003 NON- POLICE PACKAGE CHEVROLET IMPALAS FOR USE IN THE CRIMINAL INVESTIGATIONS DIVISION OF THE PARIS POLICE DEPARTMENT THROUGH THE HOUSTON-GALVESTON AREA COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of Paris has been a member of the Cooperative Purchasing Program through the Houston-Galveston Area Council of Governments since October I, 1990; and, WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate that the City of Paris purchase four (4) Model Year 2003 Police Package Chevrolet Impalas for use in the Patrol Division of the Paris Police Department and two (2) Model Year 2003 Non-police Package Chevrolet Impalas for use in the Criminal Investigations Division of the Paris Police Department through said Houston-Galveston Area Council of Governments; and, WHEREAS, it is further deemed appropriate that the City Manager be authorized to execute a purchase order for four (4) Model Year 2003 Police Package Chevrolet Impalas for use in the Patrol Division of the Paris Police Department and two (2) Model Year 2003 Non-police Package Chevrolet Impalas for use in the Criminal Investigations Division of the Paris Police Department for a total purchase price of $99,850.00, which represents the cost of the vehicles, which is $99,250.00, plus the cost of the Houston-Galveston Area Council of Governments fee, which is $600.00; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, a purchase order for four (4) Model Year 2003 Police Package Chevrolet Impalas for use in the Patrol Division of the Paris Police Department and two (2) Model Year 2003 Non-police Package Chevrolet Impalas for use in the Criminal Investigations Division of the Paris Police Department for a total purchase price of$99,850.00, which represents the cost of the vehicles, which is $99,250.00, plus the cost of the Houston-Galveston Area Council of Governments fee, which is $600.00.
