RESOLUTION NO. 2002-150 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE ELEVATED WATER STORAGE TANK - BONHAM STREET; AUTHORIZING THE ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR SAID CONSTRUCTION; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 11th day of February, 2002, in Resolution No. 2002-043, authorize the preparation of plans and specifications for the construction of an elevated water storage tank located behind the Bonham Street fire station; and, WHEREAS, such plans and specifications have been prepared by Bucher, Willis & Ratliff, with the title being given thereto ofthe "Elevated Water Storage Tank - Bonham Street Project," which plans and specifications are recommended for approval by the City Engineer of the City of Paris; and, WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate that such plans and specifications be approved and such project be authorized for advertisement for bids; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That the plans and specifications for the "Elevated Water Storage Tank - Bonham Street Project" be, and the same are hereby, approved. Section 3. That such construction project be advertised for bids to be received after due notice at the office of the City Manager of the City of Paris, City Hall, 135 1st Street S.E., Paris, Texas 75460, until 3:00 o'clock p.m. on Tuesday, October 1,2002, or at such other date and time as the City Manager shall determine, at which time said bids will be opened in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, 135 1st Street S.E., Paris, Lamar County, Texas, and bids will be tabulated and referred to the City Council for its consideration. Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
