RESOLUTION NO. 2002-101 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE 2002 CITY STREET HMAC OVERLAY PROGRAM; AUTHORIZING THE ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR SAID CONSTRUCTION; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, plans and specifications for a City street overlay project, to be funded from the Combination Tax and Revenue Certificates of Obligation, Series 2000, have been prepared by the Director of Public Works, with the title being given thereto of the "2002 City Street HMAC Overlay Program, " which plans and specifications are recommended for approval by the Director of Public Works; and, WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate that such plans and specifications be approved and said project be authorized for advertisement for bids; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That the plans and specifications for the "2002 City Street HMAC Overlay Program, " to be funded from the Combination Tax and Revenue Certificates of Obligation, Series 2000, be, and the same are hereby, approved. Section 3. That said project be advertised for bids to be received after due notice at the office of the City Manager of the City of Paris, City Hall, 135 1st Street S.E., Paris, Texas 75460, until 3:00 o'clock p.m. on Tuesday, July 2,2002, at which time said bids will be opened in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, 135 1st Street S.E., Paris, Lamar County, Texas, and bids will be tabulated and presented to the City Council for the purpose of letting such bid. Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after the date of passage. PASSED AND APPROVED this 10th day of June, 2002. ~~~
