RESOLUTION NO. 2002-083 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE PROCUREMENT OF RIGHT -OF- WAY FOR THE WADE PARK, LAMAR A VENUE, AND 24TH STREET S.E. DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Council ofthe City of Paris has undertaken a project of construction entitled Wade Park, Lamar Avenue, and 24th Street S.E. Drainage Improvement Project in accordance with plans and specifications prepared by Hayter Engineering ofthe City of Paris; and, WHEREAS, the easement/right-of-way descriptions necessary for the completion of said drainage improvement project have been identified by the City Engineer; and, WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the aforesaid right-of-way/drainage easements are necessary for said improvement project and that the same should be condemned; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That the City Attorney, Larry W. Schenk, be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to proceed to condemn the aforesaid property to be used for the Wade Park, Lamar Avenue, and 24th Street S.E. Drainage Improvement Project.
