Recent Safe Drinking Water Act <br />Evaluations for the following facilities <br /> <br />Mr. Shawn Napier, P .E. <br />March 13, 2002 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />City of Beaumont Water Treatment Plant (first Texas city to employ <br />pulsator clarifiers to high rate and triple plant capacity); Brown County <br />Water Improvement District #1 Water Treatment Plant (first water <br />treatment plant to receive the Texas Optimization Program award); City <br />of Cleburne Water Treatment Plant; City of Fort Worth Rolling Hills, <br />North and South Holly, and Eagle Mountain Water Treatment Plants <br />(1990 and 1995 EPA Regional Region VI Operations and Maintenance <br />Award for Water Treatment Facilities-Large Cities); City of Grapevine <br />Water Treatment Plant (1995 EPA Region VI Operation and <br />Maintenance Excellence Award for Water Treatment Facilities-Medium <br />Cities); Greenbelt Municipal and Industrial Water Authority Water <br />Treatment Plant and City of Longview-Sabine and Cherokee Water <br />Treatment Plants. A summary of the Safe Drinking Water Act and plant <br />production studies for Grapevine, Greenbelt and Longview will be <br />presented at the Texas Water 2002 conference in San Antonio. <br /> <br />. Extension of City Staff <br /> <br />Freese and Nichols, Inc. prides itself in maintaining a close working <br />relationship with the operating staff. Freese and Nichols is very active in <br />the Texas Water Utilities Association, and we are concerned with <br />operator related issues. Our study and design approach is to include the <br />operating staff in the evaluation process and to be thought of us an <br />extension of the staff. Freese and Nichols, Inc. also maintains a close <br />working relationship with the Texas Natural Resource Conservation <br />Commission Public Drinking Water Section, Water Utilities Division, as <br />well as the American Waterworks Association.
