<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2003-162
<br />
<br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
<br />PARIS, TEXAS, APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE HISTORIC
<br />PRESERVATION COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PARIS; MAKING
<br />OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND
<br />PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the terms of office of Paul Denney, Arvin Starrett, Linda Ryan, and Ann
<br />Rogers, as members of the Historic Preservation Commission of the City of Paris, expired on
<br />July 31, 2003; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the term of office of Barbara Wilson, as an alternate member of the Historic
<br />Preservation Commission of the City of Paris, expired on July 31,2003; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the Mayor ofthe City of Paris does hereby recommend the reappointment
<br />of Paul Denney, Arvin Starrett, and Ann Rogers and the appointment of Barbara Wilson as
<br />members, and the appointment of Brian Wear as an alternate member, for terms of two (2)
<br />years, beginning August 1,2003, and ending July 31, 2005; NOW, THEREFORE,
<br />
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
<br />TEXAS:
<br />
<br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all
<br />things approved.
<br />
<br />Section 2. That Paul Denney, Arvin Starrett, and Ann Rogers be, and they are hereby,
<br />reappointed, and that Barbara Wilson be, and she is hereby, appointed to serve as members of
<br />the Historic Preservation Commission ofthe City of Paris for terms of two (2) years, beginning
<br />August 1,2003, and ending July 31, 2005.

<br />Section 3. That Brian Wear be, and he is hereby, appointed to serve as an alternate
<br />member of the Historic Preservation Commission of the City of Paris for a term of two (2)
<br />years, beginning August 1,2003, and ending July 31, 2005.
<br />
<br />Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
<br />
<br />PASSED AND APPROVED this 13th day of October, 2003.
