<br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
<br />PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. ONE AND FINAL TO
<br />CONTRACT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE PRO RATA SANITARY
<br />SEWER EXTENSION FOR THE COPE ADDITION ALONG
<br />MEADOWLARK, MOCKINGBIRD, COPE, PINE MILL ROAD, THOMAS
<br />DRIVE, WELCH CIRCLE, AND 46TH STREET N.E. PROJECT; MAKING
<br />OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT;
<br />AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 13th day of May,
<br />2002, in Resolution No. 2002-082, award the contract for the Pro Rata Sanitary Sewer Extension
<br />for the Cope Addition along Meadowlark, Mockingbird, Cope, Pine Mill Road, Thomas Drive,
<br />Welch Circle, and 46th Street N.E. Project, to L. C. Brown Construction, Inc.; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Engineer, Shawn Napier, acting as project engineer, recommends
<br />the amendment of the contract for said project to make quantity adjustments from as-bid to as-built
<br />as shown in Exhibit A attached hereto, and providing for a net increase of $7,360.99 in the
<br />contract price for a total contract price of $505,231.05; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the form of Change Order No. One and Final, attached hereto as Exhibit A,
<br />should, in all things, be approved, and the Mayor of the City of Paris should be authorized to
<br />execute the same; NOW, THEREFORE,
<br />
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
<br />TEXAS:

<br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all
<br />things approved.
<br />
<br />Section 2. That the form of Change Order No. One and Final to the Contract for the
<br />construction ofthe "Pro Rata Sanitary Sewer Extension for the Cope Addition along Meadowlark,
<br />Mockingbird, Cope, Pine Mill Road, Thomas Drive, Welch Circle, and 46th Street N.E.
<br />Project," attached hereto as Exhibit A, for the quantity adjustments from as-bid to as-built, and
<br />providing for a net increase of $7,360.99 in the contract price for a total contract price of
<br />$505,231.05, be, and the same is hereby, approved.
<br />
<br />Section 3. That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on
<br />behalf of the City of Paris, said Change Order No. One and Final, under the terms and conditions
<br />and in the form shown in Exhibit A, attached hereto.
<br />
<br />Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
