<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2003-169 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. TWO AND FINAL <br />TO THE CONTRACT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEW ANIMAL <br />SHELTER; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED <br />TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 12th day of <br />August, 2002, in Resolution No. 2002-129, award the contract for the "City of Paris Animal <br />Shelter Project" to Reeves Construction Services, Inc.; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Engineer, Shawn Napier, acting as project engineer, recommends <br />the additional amendment ofthe contract for said project to reflect changes as described on Exhibit <br />A attached hereto, and providing for a net increase of $5,425.00 in the contract price for a total <br />contract price of $420,251.00; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the form of Change Order No. Two and Final, attached hereto as Exhibit A, <br />should, in all things, be approved, and the Mayor should be authorized to execute the same; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all <br />things approved. <br /> <br />Section 2. That the form of Change Order No. Two and Final to the Contract for the <br />"City of Paris Animal Shelter Project," attached hereto as Exhibit A, for the said project to reflect <br />changes as described on Exhibit A attached hereto, and providing for a net increase of $5,425.00 <br />in the contract price for a total contract price of $420,251.00, be, and the same is hereby, <br />approved. <br /> <br />Section 3. That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on <br />behalf of the City of Paris, said Change Order No. Two and Final, upon the terms and conditions <br />and in the form shown in Exhibit A, attached hereto. <br /> <br />Section 4.
