<br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
<br />PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF
<br />A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE TEXAS WATER
<br />DEVELOPMENT BOARD AND THE U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS,
<br />FORT WORTH DISTRICT, AND A LETTER AGREEMENT WITH THE
<br />U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS, FORT WORTH DISTRICT, FOR
<br />THE PERFORMANCE OF A HYDROGRAPmC SURVEY AT LAKE
<br />CROOK; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO
<br />THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Water Department has been made aware of the need for a
<br />hydrographic survey at Lake Crook, and the Texas Water Development Board is agreeable to
<br />providing such service, at no cost to the City, to be funded by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers,
<br />Fort Worth District; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, in order to establish the process by which the U.S. Army Corps of
<br />Engineers, Fort Worth District, will provide $8,250.00 in funding in conjunction with $8,300.00
<br />by the City of Paris to the Texas Water Development Board to perform such hydrographic survey,
<br />it is necessary for the City of Paris, the Texas Water Development Board, and the U.S. Army
<br />Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth District, to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement and a Letter
<br />Agreement with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth District; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the form of the Memorandum of Agreement, attached hereto as Exhibit A,
<br />and separate Letter Agreement, attached hereto as Exhibit B, should in all things be approved, and
<br />the City Manager should be authorized to execute the same; NOW, THEREFORE,
<br />
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
<br />TEXAS:

<br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all
<br />things approved.
<br />
<br />Section 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute,
<br />on behalf of the City of Paris, a Memorandum of Agreement Between the Texas Water
<br />Development Board, City of Paris, Texas, and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth
<br />District, and a separate Letter Agreement with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth
<br />District, for a Lake Crook Hydrographic Survey, under the terms and conditions and in the forms
<br />shown in Exhibits A and B, respectively, attached hereto.

<br />Section 3. That this resolution shall be effective from and after the date of passage.
