<br />approved. <br /> <br />Section 2. That the City of Paris has been offered and the City Council desires to accept and <br />does hereby accept a grant in the amount of $3,800 from the Martha, David and Bagby Lennox <br />Foundation (The Lennox Foundation), said grant funds to serve as a portion of the City's local <br />resources cash match in furtherance of the City's ongoing grant application to the Texas Historic <br />Commission, Certified Local Government Division, for grant funds in the total amount of $5,000 <br />from the Texas Historic Commission to partially fund the completion of an updated survey of <br />historic resources in the City of Paris. <br /> <br />Section 3. That the City Council does hereby approve and authorize the Mayor to execute <br />and the City Clerk to attest to a grant agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto and for all <br />purposes incorporated herein as Exhibit A, by and between the Martha, David and Bagby Lennox <br />Foundation and the City of Paris to enable the City to receive said grant in the amount of $3,800. <br /> <br />Section 4. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, appointed as the authorized official <br />of said project and is authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, any further <br />documents associated with the aforesaid grant under the terms and conditions and in the form <br />approved by the City Attorney. <br /> <br />Section 5. That the Director of Community Development be, and she is hereby, appointed <br />as Project Director and is hereby authorized to execute and deliver, on behalf of the City of Paris, <br />all reports, communications, assurances, and documents necessary for the completion of said project. <br /> <br />Section 6. That the Director of Finance be , and he is hereby, authorized and directed to <br />serve as the Financial Officer of said project and to receive and distribute funds, both grant funds <br />from state sources and from other sources, for purposes of completing an updated survey of historic <br />resources within the City of Paris. <br /> <br />Section 7. That the Mayor, City Manager, Director of Community Development, and the <br />Finance Director be authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, any and all <br />documents necessary for completion and implementation ofthe aforesaid Lennox Foundation Grant <br />in conjunction with any grant received, if any, from the Texas Historic Commission, Certified Local <br />Government Division, under the terms and conditions and in the form approved by the City Attorney, <br />and to proceed with the use of said funds, including state grant funds and funds from other sources, <br />upon receipt thereof for the purposes stated herein and in accordance with the grant conditions. <br /> <br />Section 8. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage. <br />
