<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2004-168
<br />
<br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS,
<br />APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A
<br />RECONCILIATION CHANGE ORDER TO THE CONTRACT FOR
<br />THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE 24" RCCP WATER TRANSMISSION
<br />LINES ASSOCIATED WITH THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEW
<br />ELEVATED WATER STORAGE TANK - BONHAM STREET;
<br />MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE
<br />SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 13th day of
<br />January, 2004, in Resolution No. 2004-021, award the contract for that project described as "24"
<br />RCCP Water Transmission Lines associated with the construction of a new elevated water storage
<br />tank - Bonham Street," to Buster Paving, a division of APAC - Texas, Inc., of Sulphur Springs,
<br />Texas; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, Bucher, Willis & Ratliff Corporation, acting as project engineer,
<br />recommends the amendment of the contract for said project in accordance with the Reconciliation
<br />Change Order attached hereto as Exhibit A, and providing for a net increase of $34.050.94 in the
<br />contract price, for a total contract price of $1,869,477.44; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the form of Reconciliation Change Order, attached hereto as Exhibit A,
<br />should in all things be approved, and the Mayor should be authorized to execute the same; NOW,
<br />THEREFORE,

<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
<br />TEXAS:
<br />
<br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble of this resolution are hereby in all
<br />things approved.
<br />
<br />Section 2. That the form of the Reconciliation Change Order to the Contract for that
<br />project described as "24" RCCP Water Transmission Lines associated with the construction of a
<br />new elevated water storage tank - Bonham Street", attached hereto as Exhibit A, for the changes
<br />described in said Reconciliation Change Order, and providing for a net increase of $34,959.84
<br />in the contract price, for a total contract price of $1,869,477.44, be, and the same is hereby,
<br />approved.

<br />Section 3. That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on
<br />behalf of the City of Paris, said Reconciliation Change Order, upon the terms and conditions and
<br />in the form shown in Exhibit A, attached hereto.
