LA WERENCE OAKS, EXECUTIVE DIRECI'OR <br /> <br />The State Agency for Historic Preservation <br /> <br />LETTER OF AGREEMENT <br /> <br />The City of Paris has the opportunity to be a graduate city in the Texas Main Street Program of the Texas <br />Historical Commission (THe). This Letter of Agreement represents your commitment to continue as an <br />"Official Graduate Main Street City" for 2004. <br /> <br />The following is a list of services your community will receive as a Graduate Main Street City: <br /> <br />· Securing a Main Street Manager <br />Should a replacement manager be needed, resumes of screened, qualified applicants will be provided to <br />the City Manager by request. <br /> <br />· Program Manager Training <br />Specialists in the areas of organization, design, promotion and economic restructuring will provide <br />training for local Main Street Managers. <br /> <br />THC shall provide five training opportunities. As an Official Graduate Main Street City you agree to <br />send your Main Street manager to at least two of these training sessions each year: <br /> <br />Basic Manager or Graduate Manager Training (January/February); <br />Texas Historical Commission Annual Conference in the spring; <br />Texas Downtown Association Mid-year Conference in the spring; <br />Main Street Summer Training; and <br />Texas Downtown Association / Main Street Annual Conference (fall). <br />Another training opportunity is National Town Meeting in the spring. <br /> <br />If a replacement manager who has not attended Basic Main Street manager training is hired in an <br />Official Graduate Main Street City, the Main Street Manager will be required to attend the Texas Main <br />Street Training in January and February. A stipend for this training will be charged to the graduate <br />city. <br /> <br />· Main Street Program Network <br />The "Monthly Update," the Main Street communique is sent each month to all Texas Main Street cities. <br />In addition, the Main Street Manager is subscribed to the Main Street list serve, an email network <br />available only to Official Texas Main Street cities. <br /> <br />· Reporting <br />As an Official Graduate Main Street City, the Main Street Manager for the City of Paris will submit <br />Monthly Reports by the 10th of the following month. Quarterly reinvestment figures will be submitted <br />for the months of June, April, July and October. A Ten Criteria Survey submitted to th~ Texas Main <br />Street Center will also be required by August 13, 2004. Letters of Agreement will not be renewed <br />without receipt of the Ten Criteria survey. <br /> <br />· Service <br />Upon request, one on-site staff visit will be made during the year to the City of Paris. The type of <br />assistance that may be requested includes strategic planning, board training, economic development <br />assistance and merchandising assistance.
