<br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
<br />PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING CHANGE ORDER NO.
<br />t AND CHANGE ORDER NO. 2 TO CONTRACT FOR THE 24" RCCP
<br />WATER TRANSMISSION LINE; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND
<br />PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN
<br />EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 13th day of
<br />January, 2003, in Resolution No. 2003-021, award the contract for the "24" RCCP Water
<br />Transmission Line Project" to Buster Paving, a Division of APAC-Texas, Inc.; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Engineer, Shawn Napier, acting as project engineer, recommends
<br />the amendment of the contract for said project to procure the professional services of Hanson
<br />Concrete, Inc.; to procure the professional services ofTDW Services, Inc.; to furnish an 18" cut-
<br />in valve; and to procure contractor labor and equipment, all of which are related to the water main
<br />break in September 2003, and to additionally install a storm sewer c1eanout; install a 12" SDR-35
<br />and connections; furnish and install inlets with grates; and purchase flowable fill; all of which are
<br />covered by the allowance for construction contingency, and providing for no increase in the
<br />contract price; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the forms of Change Order No. 1 and Change Order No.2, attached hereto
<br />as Exhibits A and B, respectively, should, in all things, be approved, and the Mayor should be
<br />authorized to execute the same, NOW, THEREFORE,
<br />
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
<br />TEXAS:

<br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble of this resolution are hereby in all
<br />things approved.
<br />
<br />Section 2. That the form of Change Order No.1 to Contract for the "24" RCCP Water
<br />Transmission Line Project," attached hereto as Exhibit A, to procure the professional services of
<br />Hanson Concrete, Inc.; to procure the professional services of TDW Services, Inc.; to furnish an
<br />18" cut-in valve; and to procure contractor labor and equipment, all of which are related to the
<br />water main break in September 2003 and which are covered by the allowance for construction
<br />contingency, and providing for no increase in the contract price, be, and the same is hereby,
<br />approved.

<br />Section 3. That the form of Change Order No.2 to the Contract for the "24" RCCP Water
<br />Transmission Line Project, " attached hereto as Exhibit B, to install a storm sewer c1eanout; install
<br />a 12" SDR-35 and connections; furnish and install inlets with grates, and purchase flowable fill;
<br />which are covered by the allowance for construction contingency, and providing for no increase
<br />in the contract price, be, and the same is hereby, approved.
