'OSAL FOR LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTU _ SERVICES <br />22 April 2003 <br />Revised 17 September 2003 <br /> <br />This is a proposal submitted by Kendall + Landscape Architecture (called Landscape Architect), address: The <br />Meadows Building, Suite 735, 5646 Milton. Dallas, Texas 75206. <br /> <br />Brinkley Sargent Architects, Inc. (called Architect) agrees to employ the Landscape Architect to provide <br />professional services for the landscape development associated with the Pans Police Clnd Courts Building. <br /> <br />I. PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br />A. Planting and Irrigation Design at the Interior Courtyard. <br />B. Planting and inigation at the shrub screening at the parking facing the RO.W. <br /> <br />II. SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />The Landscape Architect will provide the fOllowing Landscape Architectural services: <br />A. Schematic Design <br />1. Conduct a project initiation meeting with Architect to establish the design intent and program <br />requirements. Obtain all available site information and bUdget considerations. <br />2. Conduct a site analysis to understand the opportunities and constraints inherent In the site. <br />3. Prepare a schematic design plan and graphics that include: <br />a. Planting design <br />b. Irrigation <br />4. Prepare preliminary cost estimates for the schematic design solution. <br />5. Review the plan and estimates with the Architect and other Consultants for input and approval <br />to proceed. <br />B. City of Paris, Texas Landscape Ordinance Requirements Plan <br />1. Prepare required documents for review and ~pproval by the City of Paris, Texas. <br />C. Construction Documents <br />1. Prepare final construction documents for the Softscape items: <br />a. Fln~1 planting plans for the project, including locations and identification of all plant <br />materials and plant list showing quantities, sizes, varieties and conditions of materials. <br />b. FInal irrigation plans for the project. <br />c. Planting and irrigation details <br />d. Prepare technical specifications, sections for the applicable Softscape elements. <br />2. Prepare bidding documents. <br />3. Coordinate work with the consultants. <br />4. Review all work with the Architect and Consultants for input and approval before issue of <br />bidding set. <br />D. Bidding <br />1. Prepare and solicit bid proposals as part of the architectural package. <br />2. Make any necessary Addenda for bidding and prior to construction. <br />3. Assist the Architect In final bid evaluation. <br />E. Construction Observation <br />1. Check and approve construction materi~ls samples, shop drawings and any other submissions <br />for conformance with contract documents and design intent. <br />2. Make 1 trips to the site to assist the Architect in obselVing the progress, process, and quality of <br />the installation of applicable Hardscape and Softscape items. <br />3. Provide the Architect with 1 field reports documenting site activity observed with any <br />recommendations regarding the construction necessary to assure conformance to contract <br />documents, desired quality, and design Intent. <br /> <br />III. COMPENSATION <br />A. See Schedule "A" attached for compensation. <br />B. Usual reimbursable will be charged at 1.2 times direct cost.
