Department 64 Paris Public Library The Library Director is the administrative officer responsible for this department. The Paris Public Librarÿ provides free access to resources for area citizens to read, learn and connect to the full spectrum of ideas and information that is essential to our democracy. The Library serves as a door to learning for preschoolers and as a cornerstone of our local education system. It offers a broad and diverse range of materials to entertain and enlighten in many formats, including books, audio books, videos, music cassettes and computers. It also provides programs that focus on literacy skills and literature appreciation for children and adults. All funding for the Paris Public Library comes from the City of Paris although the resources are provided for and used by citizens throughout Lamar County. Division 80 Warehouse The Finance Director is the administrative official responsible for this division of the Finance Department. Funding for~his activity is available through the Water and Sewer Fund as the majority of the supplies maintained are used by the utility related departments and divisions. Division personnel purchase, store, and distribute materials, supplies, and tools used by City departments , and divisions. A perpetual inventory system is maintained. Division 81 Utility Billing and Collecting , I I The Finance Director is the administrative official responsible for this division of the Finance I Department. Funding for this activity is available through the Water and Sewer Fund. Employees: ofthis division maintain all water, sewer, sanitation, and prorata accounts. Included in this activity is : ",' meter reading and meter rereads, account billing, acco.unt collection, service initiation, and service termination. I . 7
