CITY COUNCIL AGENDA Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Paris shall meet in work session at 5:00 p.m. followed immediately by meeting in regular session on Monday, January 12, 2009. The meeting will be held at the City Council Chamber, 107 E. Kaufman Street, in Paris, Texas. The matters to be discussed and acted upon are as follows: Opening Agenda 1. Call meeting to order. 2. Invocation. 3. Pledge of Allegiance. 4. Citizens' forum. (Persons desiring to address the Council must limit their presentation to no mare than two minutes. The Texas Open Meetings Act prohibits the Council from responding to any comments other than to refer the matter to a future agenda, to an existing policy, or to a staff person with specific factual information. Claims against the City, Council Members, or employees, as well as individual personnel appeals are not appropriate for citizens' forum.) Consent Agenda Items on the Consent Agenda are approved by a single action of the Council, with such approval applicable to all items appearing on the Consent Agenda. A Council Member may request any item to be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered as a separate item. 5. Deliberate and act on the approval of minutes from the meetings on December 8, 2008 and December 15, 2008. 6. Receive and deliberate on reports and/or minutes from the following boards, commissions, and committees: a. Paris Economic Development Corporation (10-14-08; 10-30- 08) b. Planning and Zoning (11-3-08) c. Building and Standards Commission (8-18-08; 12-15-08) d. Airport Advisory Board (10-9-08; 11-20-08) e. Paris Historic Preservation Commission (10-27-08) f. Paris Public Library (11-19-08) 7. Deliberate and acceptance of November monthly financial report. 8. Deliberate on drainage ditch maintenance report. 9. Deliberate on Casa Bonita demolition project. lO.Deliberate on update of One Oak. 11.Deliberate on update of Westgate. 12.Report on demolition of dilapidated houses.
