Curb and Gutter, for the <br />Preliminary Plat and Final Plat of Lots 1, Block A, Chisum ISD Addition 339 <br />PoLicY IsstrE(s): <br />Variance and Plat Approval <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Chisum ISD is adding science labs to its high school and middle school. This property <br />was annexed in 1999 and never platted. This is the preliminary and final plat for the <br />entire 157.54 acre Chisum ISD school District Property located on the west side of the <br />3200 Block of Church Street. Staff recommends approval of both plats. <br />The school district has also requested a variance from the requirement in the Code of <br />Ordinances in Appendix B, Section VIII. Design of Improvements, A. Curb and Gutter <br />to construct curb and gutter along the boundary roads (7t" St. S. W. and CR 21400) of the <br />subdivision. The total street frontage is approximately 3,760 feet and would cost an <br />estimated $90,000. Staff is in the process of evaluating the need to revise this section of <br />the ordinance to allow for future assessments rather than upfront payments.
