<br />The Board of Trustees will convene in SPECIAL Session at 4:00 p.m. for the SPECIAL Meeting.
<br />The subjects to be discussed or considered or upon which any formal action may be taken are as follows:
<br />1. Call to Order - Announce Quorum Present and Meeting Called and Posted as Required by Law
<br />2. Groundbreaking Ceremony for New Paris High School
<br />3. Adjournment
<br />Items do not have to be taken in same order as shown on mecting notice. If, during thc course of the mceting, any discussion of any item shown on the agenda
<br />should bc held in closed session, thc Board shall convene in such closed session in accordance with the Onen Meetines Act, Tezas Government Code
<br />Section 551.001 e[. Sea. Before any such session is convencd, the presiding officcr shall public identify the section or sections of the Ac[ authorizing thc
<br />executive or closed session. All final votes, actions, or decisions shall be takcn in open session.

<br />Noticc is hcreby givcn that on thc 16TH day of FEBRUARY, 2009, the Board of Trustces of the Paris Independent School District will hold
<br />a SPECIAL meeting at 4:00 p.m., at the SOUTH COLLEGIATE DRIVE/LOOP 286 (SITE OF NEW PARIS HIGH SCHOOL) - PARIS,
<br />T'EXAS. Thc subjects to be discussed are listed on thc agcnda that is attached to and madc a part of this Notice.
<br />If, during the course of the meeting covered by this Notice, thc Board of Trustees should determine that a closed meeting or closcd session of
<br />Uic Board of Trustees is required, then such closed scssion or closed mecting as authorized by the Texas Open MeetinQS Act, Texas
<br />Government Code Section 551.001 et seu., wili be held by the Board of Trustees at the date, hour, and place given in this Notice or as soon
<br />after the commencement of thc mceting covcred by this Noticc as the Board of Trustees may conveniently meet in such closed session or
<br />closed mecting concerning any and all purposes permittcd by the Act, induding, but not limited to the foitowing sections and purposes:

<br />551.072 Discussing purchase, exchangc, lease or valuc of rcal property.
<br />551.073 Discussing negotiated contracts for prospective gifts or donations.
<br />551.074 To deliberate the appointment, cmployment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, disciplinc,
<br />or dismissal of a public officcr or cmploycc; or to hcar a complaint or charge against an
<br />officer or employee.
<br />551.076 Considcring thc dcploymcnt, specific occasions for, and or implemcntation of, sccurity
<br />personnel or devices.
<br />551.082 School Children; School District Employces: Disciplinary Matter or Complaint -
<br />Considcring discipline of a public school child, or complaint or chargc against personnel.

<br />551.083 Considering the standards, guidclincs, terms, or conditions the Board will follow or will insttuct its
<br />representatives to follow, in consultation with represcntatives of employee groups.
<br />551.084 Excluding witnesses from a hearing.
<br />Should any final action, final decision, or final vote be required in the opinion of the Board of Trustees with regard to any matter considered
<br />in such closed session or dosed meeting, then the final action, final decision, or final vote shall be either:
<br />(a) in the open meeting covered by the Notice upon reconvening of the public mceting; or,
<br />(b) at a subscqucnt public meeting of the Board of Trustccs upon notice thereof; as the Board of Trustces shall determine.
<br />On the 12TH day of FEBRUARY, 2009, this Notice was mailed/FAXED to news media who had previously requestcd such Notice and an
<br />original copy was posted on thc bulletin board in the Elaine Ballard Administration Building at 11:00 a.m. on thc said date.
