Paris Visitors & Convention Council <br />Minutes <br />October, 23, 2008 <br />Present: Bobby Walters, Pete Kampfer, Mindy Moree, Pike Burkhart, <br />Helen Short, Kevin Carruth, Roy Gwinn, George Kimbrough, Tim Masters, Suzy <br />Harper. <br />Call to order: Chairman Bobby Walters called the meeting to order and <br />welcomed Connie Beard from The Paris News. <br />Financial Report: Mindy Moree gave the financial report for the month of <br />September, 2008. Motion was made by Roy Gwinn to approve the financials as <br />read, and was seconded by Tim Masters. <br />Minutes from the last council meeting were approved on a motion by Helen <br />Short and George Kimbrough gave the second. <br />Funding request were discussed and reviewed for Rallye de Paris to be held <br />on November 28th and 29th 2008. Funding request approved for $1230.00 <br />Funding request submitted by Diane Hathcock with Red River Shootout <br />Sponsored by Paris Motor Speedway to be held on October 30 thru November <br />2, 2008. Funding request approved for $500.00. <br />George Kimbrough made motion to approve both requests and a seconded was <br />made by Suzy Harper. <br />Suzy Harper brought up Kelly Produce and the security problems that they have <br />had.
