Paris Public Library Advisory Board <br />Meeting Minutes <br />February 18, 2009 <br />4:00 p.m. <br />The Paris Public Library Advisory Board met Wednesday afternoon, February 18, 2009 <br />at 4:00 o'clock in the Director's office. Chairman Bill Kennedy presided. In addition to <br />Library Director, Priscilla McAnally, members attending were: Hilda Mallory, Eddie <br />Poole, Deborah Hatley, Jackie Alsobrook, and Linda Vandiver. <br />The minutes from the January meeting were approved as printed. <br />Eddie Fitzgerald will present a progam on March 26, 2009 at 6:30 p.m. about his book, <br />After the Fire. <br />The city is getting a new web site which should be completed by the end of April. The <br />Library web site will also be updated. <br />Ms. McAnally is still searching for an ELMO and will let the Friends group know the <br />total cost when that figure is available. <br />The budget was presented by the Director. C& S Plumbing recently installed a new <br />water heater in the basement. <br />The Director presented the statistics for January. Visits and program attendance were <br />both up. Memorials have been received in the amount of $255.00 <br />There was no report from the Friends of the Library. However, Jennie Walter did visit <br />the library recently and suggested that the Friends might have funds to update the <br />restrooms with new paint. <br />Ms. McAnally reported that Betty Robison is resigning due to personal reasons. Her job <br />will be posted.
