Exceptions: <br />1. The minimum required distance shall be 150 feet <br />from structures that are under the legal control of the <br />permit holder, provided that such qualifying <br />structures contain no sensitive receptors and have an <br />exterior surface made entirely of non-combustible <br />material. <br />2. The Fire Code Official may reduce the required <br />distance in circumstances where he deems is safe to <br />do so. This exception does not apply to disposal fires. <br />(25) Delete Section 307.4.1 and Section 307.4.2. <br />(26) Insert a new Section 307.4.1 that shall read as follows: <br />307.4.1 Trench Burns. Trench burns shall be conducted in air <br />curtain trenches and in accordance with Section 307.2 and the <br />State requirements for trench burns. <br />(27) Section 307,5 shall be added to read as follows: <br />Section 307.5 Attendance. Open burning, trench fires, bonfires <br />or recreational fires shall be constantly attended until the fire is <br />extinguished with no remaining embers. A minimum of one <br />portable fire extinguisher complying with Section 906 with a <br />minimum 4-A rating or other approved on-site fire- <br />extinguishing equipment, such as dirt, sand, water barrel, <br />garden hose, or water truck, shall be available for immediate <br />utilization. The fire-extinguishing equipment that is available <br />shall be comparable to the size of the fire. <br />(28) Section 308.3.1 shall be amended to read as follows: <br />308.3.1 Open-flame cooking and heating devices. Open- <br />flame cooking devices, charcoal grills, outdoor fireplaces and <br />other similar devices used for cooking, heating, or any other <br />purpose shall not be located or used on combustible balconies, <br />decks, or within 10 feet of combustible construction. <br />Exceptions: <br />1.
