TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS <br />PART 3- Execution of Work <br />3.1 TEMPORARY FACILITIES EOUIPMENT AND MATERIALS Unless otherwise <br />specified, the contractor shall furnish all temporary facilities and all equipment, materials, <br />and supplies which are required for prosecution of the work but which will not be <br />incorporated in the completed work. <br />All temporary structures and facilities furnished by the contractor shall remain the <br />property of the contractor. When the work is completed, all such temporary structures <br />and facilities shall be removed from the site and the area shall be restored to its original <br />condition. <br />All jobsite facilities shall be in sound condition and shall be of the proper type and size to <br />adequately perform the work. The facilities shall be regularly and systematically <br />maintained throughout the work to ensure proper, efficient operation. Facilities which <br />are inadequate or improperly maintained shall be promptly modified, repaired, or <br />removed from the site and replaced. <br />3.1.1 Tel ephone - The contractor shall provide its own telephone service. <br />3.1.2 Water - Construction water shall be provided by the contractor at each job , <br />site. The contractor shall provide all means of transfer, including pumps, <br />hose, and portable tanks. The contractor shall furnish acceptable drinking <br />water for contractar's employees and subcontractor's employees. <br />3.2 CONTRACTOR'S SUPERVISION AT THE SITE The contractor shall furnish <br />adequate management, supervisory, and technical personnel on the site to insure <br />expeditious and competent performance of the work. <br />3.3 CHARACTER OF WORKMEN The contractor shall employ only workmen who are <br />competent to perform the work assigned to them and, in the case of skilled labor, who are <br />adequately trained and experienced in their respective trades and who do satisfactory <br />work. Local labor shall be given preference. The owner has the right to require <br />contractor to remove any employee of contractor or of subcontractor's from the project, <br />who in the owner's representative's opinion may be incompetent or unqualified to <br />perform services assigned to them. <br />3.4 SECURITY The contractor shall be responsible for all its materials and equipment <br />and for material issued to contractor and placed in its custody, or placed at the jobsite by <br />contractor. Security methods shall be employed by the contractor as required to ensure <br />the protection of all materials, equipment and construction work from theft, vandalism, <br />fire and all other damage and loss. <br />
