RESOLUTION NO. 2009-065 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, DECLARING CERTAIN PARIS POLICE DEPARTMENT PERSONAL PROPERTY SURPLUS AND ADDING SAME TO A PREVIOUSLY APPROVED SURPLUS PROPERTY LIST TO BE SOLD AT AUCTION; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS A1VD PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBjECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, on September 10, 2007 the City Council approved by Resolution No. 2007-106 the sale of surplus property from several departments of the City of Paris, which no longer serves a useful purpose for the City of Paris and its operation, to be sold at auction; and, WHEREAS, the Police Department has become aware of some additional personal property consisting of extra weight equipment described on the list attached hereto as Exhibit "A", and is desirous of adding said property to the list of surplus property to be sold at auction; and, WHEREAS it would be appropriate to declare said personal property to be surplus property and add to the existing list to be sold at auction. 1VOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That the personal property described in Exhibit A, attached hereto, be, and the same is hereby, declared to be surplus property of the City of Paris, and the same may be disposed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas and the Charter of the City of Paris.
