CITY COUNCIL AGENDA Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Paris shall meet in regular session at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, July 13, 2009. The meeting will be held at the City Council Chamber, 107 E. Kaufman Street, in Paris, Texas. The matters to be discussed and acted upon are as follows: Opening Agenda 1. Call meeting to order. 2. Invocation. 3. Pledge of Allegiance. 4. Citizens' forum. (Persons desiring to address the Council mast limit their presentation to no more than two miuutes. Tlie Texas Open Meetings Act prohibits the Council from responding to any comments other than to refer the matter to a future agenda, to an existing policy, or to a staff person with specific factual information. Claims against the City, Council Members, or employees, as well as individual personnel appeals are not appropriate for citizens' forum.) Consent Agenda Items on tlie Consent Agenda are approved by a single action of tlie Council, with such approval applicable to all items appearing on the Consent Agenda. A Council Member may request any item to be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered as a separate item. 5. Deliberate and act on the approval of minutes from the meetings on June 22, 2009. 6. Receive and deliberate on reports and/or minutes from the following boards, commissions, and committees: a. Paris Municipal Band (2-12-09) b. Paris Visitors & Convention Council (2-25-09) c. Historic Preservation Commission (4-8-09, 5-26-09) d. Building and Standards Commission (4-20-09) e. Paris Public Library Advisory Board (5-20-09) £ Airport Advisory Board (5-21-09) g. Lake Pat Mayse Study Committee (5-28-09) 7. Deliberate and act on a resolution closing out the contract with Intercon Consti-uction Company, Inc.for demolition of Casa Bonita Apartments and authorizing the City Manager to negotiate and execute all necessary documents. 8. Deliberate and act on a resolution establishing the designation of autborized signatories for the Texas Community Development Programs as administered by the Office of Rural Community Affairs. 9. Deliberate on drainage ditch maintenance report.
