2) a staff inember or volunteer advocate will provide the victim with age-appropriate
materials to educate them on the criminal and/or civil justice systems, and be available to
answer questions regarding their specific case.
3) a referral form will provide victims with community referrals for services and
resources. A copy of this form will kept in the victim case file. Follow-up with the
victim will be necessary to establish the results of the referral.
4) a post-service client survey will be conducted, by a neutral third-party, to assess
whether or not the trauma and stress was reduced by the services and resources provided
by this project. If victims are unavailable to complete the pre and post service
questionnaire, a caregiver may provide the information needed.
The need is for $5,000.
Costs directly related to the day-to-day operation and will allow child victims and their
non-offending caregivers a location where they will feel safe and secure and where
services will be provided. Lamar County CASA for KIDS has and will continue to have a
diversified funding base.
We are always seeking new funding sources to ensure long-term financial support for our
projects and the children we serve. We have established a base funding in obtaining
federal and state governmental competitive grants, but will continue to increase our local
community and individual giving. We never plan for any one funding source to last
forever, but we still have children's who's needs must be met and we will continue to do
so.
'al. 000044
