Minutes <br />Traffic Commission <br />City of Paris <br />The Traffic Commission met on Tuesday, June 2nd, 2009, at 5:29 P.M. in the <br />Municipal Courtroom with the following members present: <br />1. Stephen Holmes <br />2. George Kimbrough (via telephone) <br />3. Jon McFadden <br />4. Ray Banks <br />The city staff was represented by Interim Asst. Chief Randy Tuttle. <br />The meeting was called to order at 5:29 by Vice Chairman McFadden. A quorum <br />was established by 4 members being present. <br />Mr. McFadden asked the commission members to review the submitted minutes <br />of the March 3rd, 2009 meeting. Mr. Banks made a motion to approve the <br />minutes which was seconded by Mr. Holmes and passed 4-0. <br />Mr. McFadden moved to item #3 regarding discussion and action requesting a <br />stop sign at 26t" NE & Beverly. Mr. Tuttle informed the commission that a <br />request had been made by a citizen living in the area to place a stop sign at this <br />intersection due to traffic driving fast through the area and there being issues <br />with vehicles not stopping at the uncontrolled intersection. Mr Tuttle informed <br />members that there had been no reported accidents at the intersection within the <br />last two years. Mr Holmes made a motion to deny the request for the stop sign at <br />the intersection. The motion was second by Mr. Banks. Motion carried 4-0. <br />There were no future agenda requests. <br />Mr. Banks moved for adjournment, seconded by Mr. Homes and approved 4-0 <br />ending the meeting at 5:35 PM. <br />Submitted by Interim Asst.
