MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PARIS - CITY HALL <br />COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />107 E. KAUFMAN STREET <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />MONDAY, JUNE 1, 2009 <br />5:30 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />The regular meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission on Monday, June 1, 2009, <br />was called to order at 5:30 p.m. by Curtis Fendley, Chairman. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Curtis Fendley, <br />Bill Harris <br />Richard Hunt <br />Darin Manning <br />Bee Garmon <br />Keith Barnett <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />Benny Plata <br />C. Shawn Napier, City Engineer; Jeanna Scott, Administrative Assistant; and Rhonda <br />Rogers, City Council Member were also present. <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meeting. (Ma_y 4, 2009) <br />Motion was made by Bee Garmon, seconded by Bill Harris to approve the minutes for the <br />May 4, 2009 meeting. Motion carried 6-0 <br />3. Public hearing and consideration of and action on the petition of Wayne Br-own for a <br />change in zoning fronz an Planned Development District (PD-a) Retail Shopping Center to <br />a General Retail District (GR) on Lots 25 and 26, City Block 249, being numbef• 3070 <br />Lamar Avenue. <br />Public hearing was declared open. <br />The following individuals spoke in favor of the petition. <br />Wayne Brown, 3305 33~d Street N.E., Mr. Brown stated he asking for general retail, <br />Planned Development would have to go thru Planning and Zoning for two months to get a <br />site plan approval anytime changes are made to the outside lot. <br />
