DRAFT <br />attorney\reswork\current\Collegiate Dr Ext - Surveyor Prof Services Res 2009 <br />RESOLUTION N0. <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, <br />ACCEPTING THE PROPOSAL OF CHALAIRE SURVEYING, INC. FOR <br />SURVEYOR SERVICES TO PREPARE A SURVEY FOR THE PROPOSED <br />EXTENSION, EXPANSION A1VD REALIGNMEIVT OF SOUTH COLLEGIATE <br />DRIVE FROM LOOP 286 GOING NORTH TO JEFFERSON ROAD (FM 1507) <br />CONTINUING NORTH APPROXIMATELY 1300 FEET TO THE BRIDGE; <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE OF A PROFESSIONAL <br />SERVICES AGREEMENT; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS <br />RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, The City of Paris is a participant in the proposed extension and <br />expansion of South Collegiate Drive from Loop 286 going north to Jefferson Road (FM <br />1507) continuing north 1300 feet to the bridge in connection with the construction of the <br />new PISD High School in the City of Paris; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City of Paris is in need of surveyor services to prepare a survey for <br />the proposed extension, expansion and realignment of South Collegiate Drive; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City has received a proposal from Chalaire Surveying, Inc. to <br />provide surveyor services for the preparation of a survey for said South Collegiate Drive <br />project in the form attached hereto as Exhibit A; and, <br />WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate that the proposal of Chalaire Surveying, Inc. to <br />provide surveyor services for the South Collegiate Drive project be approved and the City <br />Manager be authorized and directed to negotiate and execute on behalf of the City of Paris a <br />professional services agreement with Chalaire Surveying, Inc. in a form approved by the <br />City Attorney. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, TEXAS: <br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in <br />all things approved. <br />Section 2. That the proposal of Chalaire Surveying, Inc. for surveyor services for a <br />survey for the South Collegiate Drive extension, expansion and realignment project from <br />Loop 286 going north to Jefferson Road (FM 1507) continuing north 1300 feet to the bridge <br />in the Ciry of Paris, be, and the same is hereby accepted. <br />Section 3. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to <br />negotiate and execute on behalf of the City of Paris a Surveyor Services Agreement with <br />Chalaire Surveying, Inc. for a survey for the above referenced street project, under the <br />w 006076 <br />
