MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />CITY OF PARIS HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />WEDNESDAY, JULY 8, 2009 <br />12:00 0'CLOCK P.M. <br />The Historic Preservation Commission meeting was called to order by Arvin Starrett, <br />Chairman. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Arvin Starrett, Chainnan <br />Paul Denney, Vice-Chairnlan (arrived late 12:05) <br />Susan Scholz, Secretary <br />Ben Vaughan <br />Douglas Cox <br />Jerry Raper <br />Matt Coyle <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />N one <br />C. Also present was Jeanna Scott, Administrative Assistant and Kent McIlyar, City <br />Attorney. <br />2. Election of O#zcers: <br />A. Chairinan - Susan Scholz nominated Arvin Starrett <br />B. Vice-Chuirrnarl - Susan Scholz nominated Paul Denney <br />C. Secretary - Ben Vaughan nominated Susan Scholz <br />Mation was made by Ben Vaughan, seconded by Matt Coyle to appoint all nominees as <br />presented. Motion carried 7-0. <br />3. Approval of'rninutes, t~om previous meetings (June 10, 2009) <br />Motion was made by Ben Vaughan, seconded by Jerry Raper to table this item. Motion <br />carried 7-0. <br />4. Consideiā¢atiosi of and actioiz on tlae, following Certi ficate of Appropi-iateness: <br />A. 119 N. Main - Lamar Countv Veteran Services - Chet Hilyer, County Veterans <br />Service Officer, represented the petition. Mr. Hilyer stated they put the sign <br />where they did to mark the handicap entrance. They tried to keep the sigm simple <br />to direct people to that answer. Would appreciate the commission consideration <br />" - - - 1w> <br />
