_ CITY COUNCIL AGENDA Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Paris shall meet in regular session at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, September 28, 2009. The meeting will be held at the City Council Chamber, 107 E. Kaufrnan Street, in Paris, Texas. The matters to be discussed and acted upon are as follows: Opening Agenda 1. Call meeting to order. 2. Invocation. 3. Pledge of Allegiance. 4. Citizens' forum. (Persons desiring to address the Council must limit their presentation to no more than two minutes. The Texas Open Meetings Act prohibits the Council from responding to any comments other than to refer the matter to a future agenda, to an existing policy, or to a staff person with specific factual inforniation. Claims against the City, Council Members, or employees, as well as individual personnel appeals are not appropriate for citizens' forum.) Consent Agenda Items on the Consent Agenda are approved by a single action of the Council, with such approval applicable to all items appearing on the Consent Agenda. A Cauncil Member may request any item to be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered as a separate item. 5. Deliberate and act on the approval of minutes from the meetings on September 14 and September 21. 6. Receive and deliberate on reports and/or minutes from the following boards, commissions, and committees: a. Paris Visitors & Convention Council (6-2-09) b. Airport Advisory Board (7-16-09 and 7-20-09) c. Planning & Zoning (8-3-09) d. Paris Board of Adjustment (8-17-09) e. Historic Preservation Commission (8-24-09) 7. Deliberate and act on a resolution authorizing an interlocal agreement between the City of Paris and Lamar County to make application to the U.S. Department of Justice for a grant for the continuation of the Lamar County Felony Crimes Unit; accepting said grant award upon notice; authorizing the City Manager to negotiate and execute all necessary documents. 8. Deliberate and act on a resolution approving and authorizing a Professional Services Agreement with the American Red Cross, Lamar County Chapter to perform certain specialized services to the City of Paris and its citizens.
