a. Major water line breaks, or pump or system <br />failures occur, which cause unprecedented loss of <br />capability to provide water service; or <br />b. Natural or man-made contamination of the water <br />supply source(s). <br />(2) Requirements for termination - Stage 5 of the Plan may <br />be rescinded when all of the conditions listed as triggering <br />events have ceased to exist. <br />(g) Stage 6 Triggers - Water Allocation <br />(1) Requirements for initiation - Retail water customers <br />shall be required to comply with the water allocation plan <br />prescribed in Section 34-159 of this Article and comply with the <br />requirements and restrictions on certain water uses defined in <br />Section 34-156 of the Article for Stage 5 of the Plan when the <br />following triggering events exist: <br />a. Major water line breaks, electrical power failures, <br />or pump or system failures occur which cause <br />unprecedented loss of capability to provide water service; <br />or <br />b. Natural or man-made contamination of the water <br />supply sources(s). <br />(2) Requirements for termination - Water allocation may be <br />rescinded when all of the conditions listed as triggering events <br />have ceased to exist. <br />"Sec. 34-158. Drought Response Stages <br />(a) General <br />The City Manager, or his/her designee, shall will monitor <br />water supply and/or demand conditions on a daily basis and, in <br />accordance with the triggering criteria set forth in Section 34-157 of <br />this Article, shall determine that a mild, moderate, severe, critical, <br />emergency or water shortage condition exists and shall implement <br />the following notification procedures: <br />(1) Notification of the Public - The City Manager or his/ her <br />designee shaU will notify the public by means of publication in a <br />newspaper of general circulation, public service announcements, <br />and signs posted in public places. <br />„ - - " j 11J <br />
